Week 7 Assignment

I think that teachers need to take every possible precaution and and do as much research about technology that will be used in the classroom. Of course technology is important in the classroom, this is a fast paced time we live in and in order for our students to grow independently full functioning members of society. Also, I think teachers should go above and beyond for their students. For example, if you feel that your students might not understand the material merely by lecture, then introduce technology somehow into the material.
Online chats i think can be productive however i do believe it should be closely monitored. There must be a specific objective or topic predetermined. It is a great way to discuss outside the classroom, student teacher learning as well as student student learning would be utilized. This goes along side with all other forms of communication and technology. Using video games,podcast, text-based communication and face-to-face communication are all beneficial in the classroom when used properly.
HOWEVER, I am not a fan of video games that are noneducational and they shouldn't be played for more than an hour. that goes for all video games.
